Gold Coast Hinterland Tours
Nestled less than half an hour from the Gold Coast’s most famous beaches, The Gold Coast Hinterland provides an amazing natural wonderland that offers a variety of magical scenery for the visitor. The hinterland is a patchwork of vineyards, farming land and rural estates that lead into 100,000 hectares of national parks and reserves with miles of bushwalking tracks sprinkled throughout.
The Gold Coast Hinterland is widely regarded as one of the most scenic wonderlands across Queensland, with many visitors particularly enjoying the spectacular scenery and natural wildlife on display in the rugged McPherson Ranges. Others find the hinterland wine trail offers a great day out, with many of the hinterland’s boutique wineries providing a selection of delicious wines and sumptuous foods to tempt your palate.
Springbrook National Park and Tamborine National Park are both highly regarded attractions within the Gold Coast Hinterland. Tamborine National Park is Queensland’s oldest national park and features many bushwalks to lookouts, gorges, cliffs, waterfalls, open forest, woodlands and rainforest areas. Wildlife that can be seen within the park includes lyrebirds, platypus, lorikeets and satin bower birds. Springbrook National Park – only forty-five minutes from the Gold Coast – is a forest wilderness that was formed by the eruption of a volcano millions of years ago. You will have the chance to see across an ancient land featuring waterfalls that tumble down into the depths of the canyon, cool rock creeks that flow into the coolest swimming holes and some of the oldest trees in Australia. Wherever you choose to visit within the Gold Coast Hinterland, you will be amazed and pleased by the beautiful scenery.
